Rovensa Next Launches Myndra Biostimulant for Fruit Quality Improvement in Woody Perennials Across Europe

11 December 2025, MadridRovensa Next has introduced Myndra in Europe, a biostimulant developed for fruit quality improvement in major woody perennial crops.

Myndra is based on Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed and contains a defined combination of organic molecules that influence key quality parameters. The product is part of Rovensa Next’s crop strategies under its Biosolutionize Agriculture campaign. According to the company, internal assessments across multiple prototypes showed consistent results in fruit quality and yield, leading to its selection as the lead seaweed-based formulation in this segment.

How the Formulation Works

The extract is obtained through Rovensa Next’s cold, chemical-free process, which keeps the active compounds—polyphenols, mannitol, polysaccharides, alginates, vitamins, and pigments—intact. These components assist plants in regulating physiological functions linked to fruit development.

Myndra also acts as a metabolic driver that supports the production of amino acids such as aspartic acid, arginine, glycine, and proline. These contribute to cell growth, reproductive processes, and fruit formation, helping the plant express quality traits more effectively.

Trial Results Across Multiple Fruit Crops

Trials on stone fruit, pome fruit, citrus, and table grapes recorded measurable quality improvements. Firmness increased by 19%, soluble sugar content by 10%, while fruit weight and marketable yield rose by 19%. Carotenoids increased by 25%, flavonoids by 56%, and antioxidant activity by 46%, reflecting a broad impact on nutritional and functional attributes.

EU Certification

Myndra is validated under the EU Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR) 2019/1009 as a non-microbial plant biostimulant for quality enhancement in woody perennials. This certification supports its sale across all 27 EU member states.

Focus on Sustainable Crop Strategies

With this launch, Rovensa Next expands its portfolio of biosolutions aimed at supporting grower profitability and sustainable production methods. The company states that Myndra will play a role in improving fruit quality outcomes while aligning with environmental requirements across European agriculture.
