Elders Farmfest 2025 Wrap-Up

12 June 2025, AU: This golden anniversary edition of Elders FarmFest brought together over 37,000 people from across the country to celebrate five decades of agricultural innovation, cutting-edge machinery and agribusiness solutions. The event finished up on Thursday 6th June, after three days of glorious sunshine.

As the proud naming rights partner of the event, Elders was at the heart of the celebrations hosting a range of activities, informative workshops, and interactive displays from the iconic big red tent. It was a chance for producers, agribusinesses, and local communities to come together and reflect on how far the industry has come, and what the next 50 years might hold.

One of the standout events this year was the Elders x RFDS Next Gen Breakfast, which drew over 100 attendees.

Held in partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), the breakfast celebrated the emerging generation of ag leaders, featuring thought-provoking speakers discussing how to showcase Australian agriculture and authentically tell the stories of its people.

Lisa Hewitt, Elders General Manager Queensland and the Northern Territory, said the vibrant atmosphere reflected the energy and optimism driving the sector forward.

“Partnering with the RFDS for our Next Gen Breakfast was a real highlight. It’s events like this that showcase the commitment of rural Australians to telling our story and the passion that exists for agriculture’s future,” Ms Hewitt said.

Another standout moment of the event was the 50 Years of FarmFest Celebration Lunch, hosted by Australian Community Media (ACM) Rural Events in the Elders tent. The well-attended gathering reflected on FarmFest’s remarkable growth over the past five decades. Guests heard from a distinguished speaker lineup, including Anthony Perrett MP, Minister for Primary Industries; Cr Geoff McDonald, Mayor of Toowoomba Regional Council; Lisa Hewitt, Elders General Manager Queensland and the Northern Territory; and Craig Chapman, General Manager ACM Agri Events. The celebration concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting and a shared sense of excitement for what the next 50 years of FarmFest will bring.

The iconic big red Elders tent was also a hub for a diverse lineup of informative workshops and speaker sessions. Highlights included a natural capital information session and carbon farming workshop delivered by Agforce, two well-attended education roadshows focused on empowering the next generation of rural leaders, a renewable energy session hosted by Elders, a family succession planning talk presented by Proagtive, and two insightful sessions from Trade & Investment Queensland.

Whether it was through our live demonstrations or relaxed conversations over a free coffee from RFDS, Elders was proud to deliver value and connection at every turn.

“This milestone event was not only a celebration of the past, but a powerful look ahead to what will be the future of Australian Agriculture,” said Ms Hewitt.

“FarmFest continues to be a key event on the agricultural calendar, and Elders is proud to play a leading role in its ongoing success.”
