
Gromax Agri Equipment Launches 8 New Tractors Including India’s First Sub-50 HP Cabin Tractor
03 October 2025, Mumbai: Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd. (formerly Mahindra Gujarat Tractor Ltd.), a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat, has launched eight new tractors across the 2WD and 4WD categories. The line-up includes India’s first factory-fitted cabin tractor in the sub-50 HP segment.
The new tractors are powered by Gromax diesel engines and gearbox systems and are developed to meet varied agricultural requirements. They are suited for orchard farming, areca-nut cultivation, inter-cultivation, puddling, and haulage.
Trakstar Kavach Series
Under the Trakstar Kavach series, Gromax has introduced India’s first sub-50 HP cabin tractor range. Initially, a non-air-conditioned variant will be available, with an air-conditioned option to follow. The cabin tractors are designed to provide safety and weather resistance, enabling year-round use.
Model Line-Up
The eight newly launched tractors include:
- Trakstar Kavach Series (545 4WD and 550 4WD) – Cabin-equipped tractors available in AC and non-AC options, designed for haulage and general agriculture.
- Trakstar 525 4WD NT (25 HP) – Narrow track (33’’) tractor for inter-cultivation and efficient operation in tight row spaces.
- Trakstar 525 2WD (25 HP) – Designed for orchard farming.
- Trakstar 540 HT (40 HP) – Built for haulage and puddling.
- Trakstar 540 Orchard (40 HP) – Specialized for areca-nut cultivation.
- Trakstar 545 4WD (45 HP) – Multi-purpose tractor for haulage, puddling, and agricultural tasks.
- Trakstar 550 4WD (50 HP) – Developed for potato farming, puddling, and other farm operations.
- Trakstar 550 HT (50 HP) – Designed for heavy haulage and multi-utility agricultural applications.
Campaign and Market Rollout
Along with the new tractors, Gromax has launched its second digital video campaign under the Sabse Sahi Chunaavtheme. The campaign highlights performance, productivity, and affordability as key aspects for farmers.
Commenting on the launch, Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said the tractors are designed to address evolving agricultural needs and expand year-round productivity.
The tractors will be available at Gromax dealerships from October 2025. During the festive season, dealers in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana will also provide exclusive consumer schemes and assured gifts with each purchase.
