Madhya Pradesh Announces ₹2,600 Per Quintal Wheat Procurement Price for Rabi 2026–27
25 November 2025, Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a significant relief measure for farmers ahead of the Rabi Marketing Season 2026–27, setting the wheat procurement price at ₹2,600 per quintal. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav made the announcement during a public meeting in Banda, Sagar district.
The Union Government has fixed the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat at ₹2,585 per quintal for the season. The state government will provide an additional bonus of ₹15 per quintal, taking the total procurement price to ₹2,600 per quintal.
Last Season’s Bonus Was Higher
In the previous marketing season, the state had offered a bonus of ₹175 per quintal over the MSP of ₹2,425, providing substantial support to growers. Although the bonus amount is lower this time, the government has assured farmers that the overall procurement price remains steady and the procurement process will be conducted smoothly.
Support Extended to Soybean and Paddy
The Chief Minister also highlighted that under the Bhavantar Scheme, farmers are receiving a total value of ₹5,328 per quintal for soybean. Bonus support on paddy continues as well. Wheat procurement in the state will once again be undertaken by the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation (NCCF), with the government assuring transparency and timely payments.
