Matix Fertilisers wins ‘Best Production Performance Award 2025 for a Nitrogenous Fertiliser Plant’ at the 2025 FAI Annual Seminar

15 December 2025, New DelhiMatix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, promoted by Nishant Kanodia, secured two recognitions at the 2025 Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) Annual Seminar. The company received awards for ‘Best Production Performance for a Nitrogenous Fertiliser Plant’ and for ‘Improvement in Overall Performance of a Company’ for 2025.

Rajat Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Fertilisers, presented the awards to Mr Manoj Mishra, Managing Director, and Mr Giridhar Mishra, Chief Operating Officer at Matix.

Commenting on the recognition, Mr Nishant Kanodia, Chairman, Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, stated, “Receiving the prestigious ‘Best Production Performance’ award from the Fertiliser Association of India, two years in a row, within just the fourth year of operations is a testament to the extraordinary pace at which Matix has matured. The awards were presented during the inaugural session of the FAI Annual Seminar in New Delhi, which focused on fertiliser management for a green and farmer empowered future. The theme reflects India’s push for efficient nutrient use, lower import dependence and climate responsive manufacturing. The dual awards recognise Matix’s strong performance trajectory and underscore its capability to deliver reliable output and sustained efficiency gains in a sector central to India’s food and agricultural security.

In FY2025, Matix produced 1.47 million tonnes of urea, exceeding its 1.27 MTPA capacity and achieving about 115 percent utilisation. This performance supports India’s efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing and reduce exposure to volatile global gas markets. Panagarh now supplies nearly 20 percent of Eastern India’s urea, aiding state nutrient planning and ensuring timely availability to farmers.
