Prochlorosulfone: Approved ISO common name
08 August 2025, US: New common name approved on 5th August 2025 for a benzoylpyrazole herbicide from Shandong Binnong Technology Co. Ltd., Chinese common name 噁唑磺草酮.
4-[2-chloro-3-[(5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3,4-oxadiazol-3(2H)-yl)methyl]-4-(methylsulfonyl)benzoyl]-3-cyclopropyl-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl 5-chloro-1,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate [3023924-34-4]
No objections have been received to the name “prochlorosulfone”, so it has become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
