Rovensa Next Launches TYPHOON® and GALACTEK® in North America, Expands Biosolutions Portfolio

24 February 2026, Madrid: Rovensa Next has announced the launch of two biosolutions in the North American market, TYPHOON® and GALACTEK®. The company stated that the additions strengthen its portfolio across multiple product lines and form part of its Biosolutionize Agriculture campaign, which focuses on integrated biosolution strategies for crop production.

The announcement was made from Madrid on February 23, 2026. According to the company, the new products are intended to support crop health, productivity, and environmental management through science-based approaches.

“Growers today need biosolutions that deliver measurable results to boost their business,” said Chuck Broughton, Head of North America at Rovensa Next. “The launch of TYPHOON® and GALACTEK® expands our portfolio with products that optimize crop health, support integrated crop management systems across North America, and deliver proven, consistent performance across multiple crops and growing conditions.”

TYPHOON® – Biofungicide for disease management

TYPHOON® is positioned as a contact fungicide for field and greenhouse use. It is designed to control diseases including Botrytis, Downy Mildew, Alternaria and Phytophthora. The product is registered under FIFRA Section 25(b) and contains potassium sorbate as its active component.

The company stated that TYPHOON® has no restricted entry interval (REI) or pre-harvest interval (PHI). It can be rotated with other fungicides and used late in the season up to harvest. Due to its high pH, it is recommended for application with an acidifier to optimize effectiveness.

TYPHOON® is applied at 50–100 oz/A for control of powdery mildew and other diseases, supporting canopy management and yield potential in crops such as watermelon. Integrated biosolutions programs have shown that pairing TYPHOON® with PREV-AM enhances pest and disease suppression, including control of insecticide-resistant Type Q biotype whiteflies, through a physical mode of action that reduces resistance risk.

When TYPHOON® was used in combination programs with nutritional technologies such as NANOCAL, crops maintained cleaner foliage and remained productive under stress, positioning the product as a tool for maintaining crop quality during critical growth periods.

GALACTEK® – Soil and root performance enhancer

GALACTEK® is introduced as a fertilizer and soil amendment formulated with Metabol-8 Technology. It contains a proprietary blend of low-molecular-weight organic acids and a humectant. The product is designed to enhance nutrient availability in soil, improve root development, and support nutrient uptake while maximizing metabolic efficiency. It is registered as a soil amendment and can be applied to soil or foliage with tank-mix compatibility.

According to Rovensa Next, GALACTEK® is designed to improve crop performance under environmental stress conditions at ultra-low use rates.

Field results cited by the company include data from processing tomatoes, where the proportion of perfect fruit increased from 80.34% to 87.5%, paid tons increased from 62.5 to 67.0 tons per acre, and sugar content increased from 3.5% to 4.5%. In corn trials conducted across New York, yield increases of 3–4 bushels per acre were recorded, with some fields reporting gains of up to 7 bushels per acre under stress conditions. These outcomes were associated with stronger root systems and improved nutrient uptake.

Integrated biosolution strategy for crop performance

Rovensa Next stated that TYPHOON® and GALACTEK® are designed to play complementary roles in integrated biosolution programs. In watermelon production systems, GALACTEK® is applied at 3 oz/A at flower initiation and at two subsequent 30-day intervals to support nutrient availability, moisture retention, and root health.

TYPHOON® is applied at 50–100 oz/A to provide protection against powdery mildew during flowering and fruit fill stages. The company stated that these technologies contribute to plant resilience and support marketable yield outcomes.

The watermelon biosolution strategy referenced by the company also includes ORO-RZ, ENCOURAGE, NANOCAL, IGNEOUS, and PREV-AM as part of an integrated crop management approach.
