Biostadt Launches Pyankor Herbicide in Gorakhpur: Strengthens Focus on Paddy Belt of Uttar Pradesh

28 May 2025, Uttar Pradesh: After a successful launch in Lucknow, Biostadt India Limited extended the rollout of its new post-emergent herbicide Pyankor with another impactful event in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. This launch highlights Biostadt’s strategic emphasis on India’s major paddy-growing states, where weed management remains a pressing challenge for farmers.

Pyankor: A Precision Solution for Paddy Weed Control

Pyankor is a carefully formulated herbicide aimed at controlling complex weed flora in paddy fields, including tough grassy and broadleaf weeds like Echinochloa and Cyperus species. Designed for post-emergence application, it offers high selectivity—ensuring paddy crop safety—while delivering strong knockdown effects on targeted weeds. This combination allows farmers to manage mid-season weed infestations without crop damage.

The product addresses a crucial gap in the market for weed control solutions that are both effective and economical. With increasing weed pressure caused by shifting weather patterns and labor constraints, Pyankor stands out as a solution that reduces dependency on manual weeding while enhancing productivity.

Eastern Uttar Pradesh: A Strategic Launch Destination

Gorakhpur, located in the heart of Eastern Uttar Pradesh’s rice belt, was a fitting location for the second launch event. The region has witnessed repeated concerns from paddy growers about the rising cost of weed control and the need for a post-emergent herbicide that can deliver both speed and precision. Pyankor’s launch is expected to address these farmer concerns directly, with on-ground demonstrations planned to help farmers understand the optimal use of the product across different soil and climatic conditions.

Biostadt’s Ongoing Commitment to Regional Empowerment

Biostadt is not just launching products—it is investing in long-term engagement with India’s farming communities. The company continues to emphasize localized support, extensive field trials, and capacity-building efforts to empower farmers with both knowledge and technology. The Pyankor launch series is part of this larger commitment to strengthening Biostadt’s footprint in critical agrarian regions.

Core Team Presence at Gorakhpur Launch Underscores Company’s Focus

The Gorakhpur launch witnessed the presence of several key members of the Biostadt leadership and operational teams who played a central role in engaging with regional stakeholders. Among those present were Mr. Santosh Rane (General Manager – Pesticides), Mr. Nilesh Narbekar (General Manager – Biologicals), and Mr. Samjae Chun, a delegate representing LG Chem Life. From the company’s northern business unit, Mr. Surjeet Singh (Deputy General Manager – North 1) and Mr. Chetan (Senior Product Manager – Herbicides) participated in the event alongside regional heads Mr. Anuj and Mr. Devendra. The development team was represented by Mr. Sanjeev and Mr. Sandeep, while the Field Marketing Team (FMT) included Mr. Manish Jha and Ms. Aarti Mahala.
