13 September 2025, US: New common name provisionally approved on 9th September 2025 for an insecticide from Corteva Agriscience.
[N′(Z)]-N-[2-fluoro-4-[1-[4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]phenyl]-N′-[3-[5-methyl-2-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)methyl]phenyl]-4-oxo-2-thiazolidinylidene]urea [2583740-14-9]
If you wish to file an objection, for example because you consider that the name “fentiazoluron” infringes on one of your company’s trademarks, please contact the Maintenance Agency no later than 8th March 2026. If no objections are received, then the name “fentiazoluron” will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
