New ISO common name provisionally approved on 7th May 2025 for a strobilurin fungicide from Syngenta Crop Protection, AG.

methyl (2Z)-2-(5-cyclohexyl-2-methylphenoxy)-3-methoxy-2-propenoate [2490157-71-4]

If you wish to file an objection, for example because you consider that the name “metcyclofenstrobin” infringes on one of your company’s trademarks, please contact the Maintenance Agency no later than 7th November 2025. If no objections are received, then the name “metcyclofenstrobin” will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
