Provisionally-Approved ISO Common Name – Pendiclofenate
22 January 2026, US: New common name provisionally approved on 19th January 2026 for a phenoxyacetic acid herbicide derivative from Corteva Agriscience.
pentane-1,5-diyl bis[(2,4-dichlorophenoxy)acetate] [3028468-74-5]
If you wish to file an objection, for example because you consider that the name “pendiclofenate” infringes on one of your company’s trademarks, please contact the Maintenance Agency no later than 19th July 2026. If no objections are received, then the name “pendiclofenate” will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
