Xivana® Prime: Fungicide by Bayer Crop Science for Downy Mildew Control in Grapes
20 August 2025, US: Bayer Crop Science has introduced Xivana® Prime, a foliar fungicide developed for the control of downy mildew in grapes. The product contains the active ingredient Fluoxapiprolin, which works through a new mode of action and is applied at low dose rates.
Xivana Prime provides efficacy for 10 to 21 days, which allows longer spray intervals and flexible application programs, including under rainy conditions.
The product has a safety profile suitable for pollinators and beneficial insects. It also shows no measurable transfer to wine, which is relevant for vineyards supplying both domestic and export markets.
