18 May 2025, New Delhi: Powdery mildew is a persistent disease in mango plantations, affecting leaves, flowers, and young fruits. One of the effective fungicides permitted for its treatment is Carbendazim 46.27% SC.
Carbendazim is known for its systemic action and long-lasting protection. It is applied at 0.046% a.i. (46 g per 100 liters of water). The formulation used is 0.1% or 100 ml per 100 liters of water.
Application frequency should be based on disease severity and field conditions. The product requires a waiting period of 15 days from the last application to harvest, ensuring safe consumption.
