Fluopyram + Tebuconazole SC – A Powerful Combination for Powdery Mildew and Anthracnose in Mangoes
Crop Protection Advisory for Mango Farmers in India
18 May 2025, New Delhi: Fluopyram 17.7% + Tebuconazole 17.7% SC is a combination fungicide that has proven highly effective in controlling both powdery mildew and anthracnose in mango orchards. Approved by the Central Insecticide Board (CIB), this dual-action formulation brings together two potent active ingredients to provide broad-spectrum protection during flowering and fruit development stages.
The recommended dosage of this formulation is 200 ml per acre, diluted in 200 liters of water, ensuring adequate coverage across the canopy. The waiting period before harvest is 14 days, allowing sufficient time for safe residue breakdown and compliance with food safety standards.
Fluopyram acts by inhibiting fungal respiration at the cellular level, while Tebuconazole disrupts ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal membranes. This complementary mode of action ensures both curative and preventive control, making it an excellent option for integrated disease management in mangoes.
Due to its systemic and translaminar movement within the plant, this fungicide delivers long-lasting protection, particularly during humid conditions when fungal outbreaks are most severe. Mango growers can rely on this CIB-approved solution to minimize crop losses, improve fruit appearance, and extend shelf life, ultimately enhancing market value.
