18 May 2025, New Delhi: Metrafenone 500 g/l SC has gained popularity among mango growers for its innovative mode of action against powdery mildew. Recognized and permitted by the Central Insecticide Board, this fungicide provides long-lasting protection and enhances mango crop yield.

The recommended active ingredient dose is 200 grams per hectare with a dilution rate of 0.2 ml per liter of water, requiring 1000 liters of water for thorough coverage. The mandatory waiting period before harvest is 35 days.

Metrafenone disrupts the development of fungal structures and inhibits spore formation, preventing the spread of mildew. It is especially effective when applied preventively, providing farmers with a reliable window to protect their crops during critical growth stages.
