Fungicide Recommendations from ICAR-NSI

As soon as the first symptoms of Rhizoctonia Aerial Blight are observed in the field, immediate fungicide application is crucial. ICAR-NSI, Indore recommends spraying any one of the following fungicide formulations:

  1. Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l + Pyraclostrobin 333 g/l SC at 300 g per hectare
  2. Pyraclostrobin 133 g/l + Epoxiconazole 50g/l SE at 750 ml per hectare
  3. Pyraclostrobin 20 WG at 375–500 g per hectare

These fungicides are highly effective in checking the spread of the disease and safeguarding the yield potential of soybean crops.

Application Tips

  • Ensure even coverage of the foliage during spraying.
  • Use clean water and calibrated sprayers for accurate dosage.
  • Repeat the spray if the disease pressure persists after 10–12 days.
  • Avoid spraying during high winds or rainy conditions.

Early detection and timely fungicide application are key to protecting soybean crops from Rhizoctonia Aerial Blight. Farmers are encouraged to follow this ICAR-NSI advisory and consult local extension officers for further guidance. Adopting the recommended crop protection practices will help in maintaining healthy soybean yields this season.
