Summer School On Agrobiodiversity In Galicia – Apply Now
15 January 2026, Frick: From 2 to 12 September 2026, Galicia (Spain) will host an international summer school on agrobiodiversity for students from all over Europe. Applications for one of the thirty spots are open until the end of February. The event is being organised by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), FiBL and the Interuniversity Research Centre for Atlantic Cultural Landscapes (CISPAC) in Santiago de Compostela.
Galicia is an autonomous region in northwest Spain with its own language, rich history, and strong cultural identity. Its landscape of rivers, coastal “rías”, and mountain areas has shaped a remarkable diversity of agroecosystems and ways of living. This unique interplay between people, nature, and production systems makes Galicia an inspiring place to explore forward-looking sustainability ideas.
Master students from agricultural and environmental sciences, food sciences, rural development, sustainability assessment, and related fields are particularly encouraged to participate; Bachelor students are also welcome. The number of places is limited to 30, with applications possible until 28 February 2026.
