Celebrate Summer in Style at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates
28 June 2025, US: The World Food Prize Foundation is rolling out the red carpet to invite the community to an elegant evening designed to dazzle—the Summer Gala at the Hall of Laureates.
Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Des Moines’ most iconic and historic venues, this event will be an evening of celebration, connection and summer magic. Get your ticket to experience the beauty of the Hall of Laureates and mission of the Foundation while enjoying over a dozen local vendors offering incredible food, cultural experiences and artistic displays.
It’s a chance to come together as a community to celebrate—and to support—the space that serves as the heart of the World Food Prize Foundation’s global and local efforts in the Hunger-Fighting Capitol of the world.
The night kicks off at 6 p.m. with an exclusive VIP Hour featuring Donald Gee, a musician and comedian known for his witty performances and musical flair. Enjoy his set as you sip local ales from Reclaimed Rails. Later in the evening, guests will enjoy the vibrant sounds of the NOLA Jazz Band, keeping the energy high and the dance floor full.
From 7 to 10 p.m. all attendees will receive free hors d’oeuvres from featured vendors, and we’re rolling out a true red carpet entrance to make the evening feel as festive as it is meaningful. With interactive entertainment, delicious tastings and plenty of dancing, it’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss summer celebration.
