Koppert to Inaugurate Expanded Mycorrhiza Production Facility in Hyderabad, India
19 January 2026, Hyderabad: Koppert Sustainable Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd. will inaugurate its expanded Mycorrhiza Production Facility at IDA Bollaram, Hyderabad.
Koppert Sustainable Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between AgriLife India and Koppert BV.
The Mycorrhiza Production Facility is a biological manufacturing unit that produces mycorrhizal fungi used in agriculture. These fungi establish a symbiotic association with plant roots and support the uptake of water and nutrients from the soil.
The expanded facility will increase Koppert’s production capacity of mycorrhizal products intended for use in crop production. The products are used to support nutrient uptake, soil conditions, and crop performance under different growing environments.
According to the company, the expansion forms part of its ongoing investment in local manufacturing to support the supply of biological inputs for the Indian agricultural market.
Providing details on the expansion, Dr Venkatesh Devanur, Managing Director, AgriLife India, said the facility has been developed to meet production and quality requirements for mycorrhizal products and aligns with the company’s plans to expand biological manufacturing capacity in India.
The facility will supply mycorrhizal products for use across Indian agriculture, where biological inputs are being increasingly adopted alongside conventional crop nutrition and protection practices.
