Lantmännen’s Divestment Of Swecon To Volvo Construction Equipment Has Been Completed

02 February 2026, Sweden: Lantmännen’s divestment of Swecon to Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has been completed after securing approval from relevant authorities. As of February 1, 2026, Swecon is part of Volvo CE.

The divestment, which was announced in June 2025, includes Swecon’s entire business scope, i.e. sales of products and services, rental operations, aftermarket services and customer support as well as offices, workshop facilities and 1,400 employees.

“Over the past 25 years, Swecon has evolved into a profitable and successful part of Lantmännen’s business portfolio. Volvo CE’s acquisition of Swecon is a testament to the value that has been built and I am sure that Volvo CE will prove to be a great new home for Swecon, offering a solid foundation for continued growth and development,” says Magnus Kagevik, Lantmännen’s Group President and CEO.

“The divestment further strengthens Lantmännen’s ability to pursue strategic acquisitions and investments to accelerate growth. It also enables an extraordinary dividend to our owners, active Swedish farmers,” says Magnus Kagevik.

Following completion of the transaction, the payment of Lantmännen’s extra dividend of MSEK 750 to its members will take place on February 12, 2026.
