Minister Han Jun Meets with French Counterpart

10 December 2025, ChinaMinister Han Jun met with Annie Genevard, Minister for Agriculture, Agri-food, and Food Sovereignty of the French Republic, in Beijing on December 4. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the implementation of the consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and deepening China-France agricultural cooperation. 

Minister Han noted that agricultural cooperation is a key part of China-France relations. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the agricultural sectors have maintained close exchanges, and cooperation in agricultural trade, investment, agricultural science and technology, and other fields has shown good progress. China is willing to deepen cooperation with France in areas such as agricultural scientific research, grape industry development, animal genetic resources and animal disease control, agricultural vocational education, thus continuously advancing the China-France agricultural partnership in a deeper and more substantive manner. 

Minister Genevard expressed that France attaches great importance to agricultural cooperation with China and stands ready to consolidate and strengthen comprehensive cooperation with China in agricultural research, agricultural vocational education, the beef cattle industry, and the grape and wine industry, with the aim of achieving more pragmatic results.
