6th International Agronomy Congress 2025 To Be Held at New Delhi From 23–25 November

22 November 2025, New DelhiThe curtain raiser for the Sixth International Agronomy Congress (IAC) 2025 announced that the event will be held from 23 to 25 November 2025 in New Delhi.

ICAR Director General Dr. M.L. Jat outlined key national indicators, including India’s record 357.73 million tonnesfood grain output and a 95% reduction in crop residue burning since 2020. He said the congress theme, “Re-Envisioning Agronomy for Smart Agri-food Systems and Environmental Stewardship,” aligns with national goals for sustainability, self-reliance and Viksit Bharat.

Dr. Jat highlighted priorities such as system agronomy, digital agriculture, nutrient-use efficiency and the role of indigenous inputs. He noted that recommendations from the IAC will be published within three days of the event for timely integration into planning.

The congress aims to shape future agronomic strategies with a focus on resilience, productivity and national agricultural transformation.
