Crack Down on Illegal Agrochemical Storage in Indore, FIR Registered Against Warehouse Operators
24 July 2025, Indore: In a firm regulatory move to ensure safe and legal access to agricultural inputs, authorities in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, India, have taken action against the illegal storage and sale of fertilizers and pesticides. An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against the operators of a warehouse belonging to Pratibha Biotech and associated individuals.
The enforcement action, led by the district administration under Collector Mr. Ashish Singh, follows an inspection by the District Quality Control Team. The team discovered unauthorized stockpiling and sale of agrochemical products at a warehouse located in the SDA Compound, Lasudiya Mori area of Dewas Naka.
Officials reported that the products — both fertilizers and pesticides — were stored and distributed in violation of India’s Insecticides Act (1968), the Fertilizer (Control) Order (1985), and the Essential Commodities Act (1955). These laws regulate the handling and distribution of agro-inputs to safeguard farmer safety and ensure product quality.
Those named in the FIR include Mr. E. Rajshekhar Reddy and Mr. Karam Singh, directors of Pratibha Biotech. Authorities have confirmed that similar actions will continue as part of efforts to maintain regulatory compliance and protect the interests of farmers.
