Haryana Agriculture Department Seizes Counterfeit Agrochemicals of 5 Companies in Kaithal Raid

29 September 2025, HaryanaThe Haryana Agriculture Department seized a large quantity of counterfeit and illegal agrochemicals during a raid conducted on September 28, 2025, in Kaithal district. The operation was carried out under the supervision of SDO Satish Kumar Nara at Police Station Pundri.

According to officials, the confiscated materials included spurious and duplicate products of leading agrochemical companies. Among the seized items were Bayer’s Regent Ultra and Nativo, UPL’s Saaf, Syngenta’s Virtako and Amistar, FMC’s Ferterra, and Dhanuka’s Caldan 4G.

An FIR has been registered by the Agriculture Department under several legal provisions, including the Insecticides Act (Section 18), Copyright Act (Sections 63 and 65), Trade Marks Act (Sections 103 and 104), and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Authorities confirmed that the seized products were found in significant quantities and are suspected to have entered the local market through illegal supply chains. The department has initiated further investigation to identify the sources and prevent circulation of such counterfeit materials.
