India is Strengthening Cooperative Sector to Raise Farmer Incomes, Says Rajasthan Registrar at KRIBHCO Meet

05 February 2026, Jaipur: The Central Government’s renewed emphasis on cooperatives, led by a dedicated Ministry of Cooperation, is giving fresh direction to India’s cooperative movement with a strong focus on increasing farmers’ incomes, said Smt. Anandhi (IAS), Secretary & Registrar, Cooperation, Rajasthan. She was speaking at the Marketing Plan Review and Planning Meeting 2026–27 organised by Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) in Jaipur.

She said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the creation of an independent Ministry of Cooperation, headed by Union Minister Amit Shah, has given cooperatives a distinct identity and sharper policy focus. The earlier input-centric approach has now shifted towards directly enhancing farmers’ incomes, and all cooperative planning must align with this objective.

KRIBHCO Director (Finance & Marketing) Manish Kumar said the organisation continues to place farmers’ prosperity at the core of its strategy, particularly in agriculturally significant states like Rajasthan. Through timely supply of fertilisers, strengthening cooperative networks, and farmer-centric initiatives, KRIBHCO is contributing to sustainable and profitable agriculture.

KRIBHCO Deputy General Manager (Marketing, North) Gajendra Kumar highlighted KRIBHCO’s strong grassroots engagement across Rajasthan’s diverse agro-climatic regions, supported by awareness programmes, training initiatives, and promotion of modern farming practices to improve productivity and farm incomes.

The meeting reviewed the fertiliser market scenario in Rajasthan and outlined KRIBHCO’s plans for 2026–27, including strengthening input availability, expanding distribution networks, and enhancing farmer services.
