According to data from the Agriculture Department, as of July 19, 2025, a total of 7,76,209 metric tonnes of urea has been sold in Haryana—up from 6,59,940 metric tonnes during the same period last year, indicating a significant increase. Similarly, 2,45,870 metric tonnes of DAP has been sold so far this year, which is 15 percent higher than last year.

Approximately 30,000 metric tonnes of additional urea and 3,500 metric tonnes of DAP are expected to be supplied over the next 3–4 days. Additionally, the supply of other fertilizers such as NPK is anticipated to reach 1,20,000 metric tonnes.

The Agriculture Minister highlighted that fertilizer distribution is being strictly monitored at the district level to maintain transparency and discipline. This is being done through real-time tracking on dedicated dashboards and mobile applications, enabling immediate insights into availability and distribution in each district.

He urged farmers to purchase fertilizers strictly as per Kharif requirements and avoid stocking them for the Rabi season at this stage. Hoarding, he said, could affect the availability of fertilizers and lead to inconvenience to other farmers.

To curb black marketing and price manipulation, the government has implemented strict regulations. Clear instructions have been issued to all fertilizer dealers not to bundle any additional materials with fertilizers. Any such malpractice will attract strict action. For enforcement, special monitoring teams have been constituted and are conducting regular inspections across the state. Farmers are encouraged to promptly report any irregularities to the Agriculture Department.

The Minister assured that fertilizer supplies will remain stable and uninterrupted in the coming months. The state government is working in close coordination with the Central Government and fertilizer manufacturing companies to ensure continuous supply. More than 2,500 fertilizer distribution centers across Haryana are actively supplying fertilizers, and their stock levels are being closely monitored.

In addition, the government is actively promoting the use of alternative fertilizers, such as organic manure and nano urea, to help maintain soil health and protect the environment.

Agriculture Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting farmers’ interests. “There will be no shortage of fertilizers during the Kharif season under any circumstances. Our farmers should remain stress-free and continue with sowing and cultivation. The government is fully prepared to provide all necessary support,” he said.
