‘MP Cheetah’ Brand to Gain Wider Recognition

Highlighting the state’s flagship brand “MP Cheetah”, the minister said it should be promoted across Madhya Pradesh and the rest of India with a strong marketing strategy. He emphasized that this would help the brand earn a stronger reputation among farmers as a reliable source of high-quality seeds. He also urged the federation to expand its focus to include horticulture crops alongside traditional field crops.

Hybrid Seeds for Better Productivity

Officials informed the meeting that the Beej Sangh has already started producing high-quality hybrid seeds. These seeds are expected to offer better yields, stronger disease resistance, and improved crop quality. Minister Sarang described this move as a major milestone for the state’s agriculture sector and instructed that the benefits should reach as many farmers as possible.

Focus on Research and Training

The minister also stressed the importance of training farmers and technical staff to enhance seed production and quality. Special emphasis will be placed on research and development (R&D), with additional manpower to be deployed if required. He directed the federation to organize a one-day seminar bringing together agricultural universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), research institutions, and subject experts to further strengthen seed quality and brand value.
