Online Fertilizer Distribution in Sehore from September 27, Collector Launches Drive Against Black Marketing

11 September 2025, New Delhi: The Sehore district administration in Madhya Pradesh has taken strong steps to ensure adequate fertilizer availability for farmers and to curb black marketing. District Collector Balaguru K. has instructed officials to conduct regular inspections of warehouses and retail outlets, while also keeping a close watch on district borders to prevent illegal fertilizer movement.

The Collector emphasized that fertilizer distribution must be carried out strictly in proportion to farmers’ landholdings. Supporting this, the Deputy Director of Agriculture informed that from September 27, fertilizer distribution in the district will shift to an online system. This system will be linked with farmers’ Aadhaar numbers, allowing both fertilizer allocation and land details to be tracked digitally.

Strict Measures to Prevent Black Marketing

Collector Balaguru K. warned that black marketing of fertilizers will not be tolerated. Regular checks will ensure that fertilizers reach farmers in the right quantity and at the right price. He noted that this initiative would not only bring transparency to the supply chain but also safeguard farmers’ rightful access to inputs.

Benefits of the Online Distribution System

The new online fertilizer distribution mechanism starting September 27 will allow farmers to view details of their landholding and fertilizer entitlement digitally. This will make the process more transparent, efficient, and farmer-friendly, ensuring timely delivery of the required fertilizer to genuine farmers.
