PM-KISAN 20th Installment: Complete These Mandatory Steps by May 31 or Miss ₹2,000 Payment
26 May 2025, New Delhi: The Government of India is preparing to release the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme in June 2025, under which eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, directly into their bank accounts. Ahead of the upcoming payment, the government has launched a nationwide Saturation Drive that will continue until May 31, 2025, to ensure no eligible farmer is left out.
Objective of the Saturation Drive
This special campaign aims to include all eligible farmers in the scheme and ensure they receive timely payments. The Ministry of Agriculture has directed all state and district authorities to identify eligible farmers and onboard them before the 20th installment is disbursed.
Mandatory Steps to Receive the Next PM-KISAN Installment
Farmers must complete the following formalities by May 31 to avoid payment delays:
- eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) is mandatory
- Aadhaar number must be linked to the bank account
- Land record verification is required
If any of these steps remain incomplete, the ₹2,000 installment scheduled for June may be withheld. The government has urged farmers to complete the process at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) as soon as possible.
Campaign Active at the Village Level
To make sure that the benefits reach only genuine and eligible farmers, the campaign is being implemented at the village level as well. Officials have been deployed to help identify new beneficiaries and update records of existing ones. State governments have been asked to take active measures in this regard.
Status of the Previous Installment
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme on February 24, 2025, in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The 20th installment is now due in June, though the exact date has not yet been announced. Typically, PM-KISAN installments are released every four months.
About the PM-KISAN Scheme
Launched in February 2019, PM-KISAN is a Central Sector Scheme implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with state governments. The scheme provides direct income support to small and marginal farmers to help them plan agricultural activities better and reduce dependency on informal credit.
What is the PM-KISAN Saturation Drive?
The Saturation Drive is a focused effort to include all eligible but currently excluded farmers under the scheme. It involves registering new beneficiaries and verifying the details of existing ones to ensure no one misses out on the upcoming installment.
Final Reminder
To receive the 20th installment of PM-KISAN in June 2025, all required verifications and document updates must be completed by May 31. Farmers are advised to visit their nearest CSC center or agriculture office immediately to ensure their eligibility and avoid missing the payment.
