
High Yielding Wheat Varieties for India: Rabi 2025
03 October 2025, New Delhi: The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, has released a list of high yielding and climate-resilient wheat varieties for the upcoming Rabi 2025 season.
These new varieties are bred to withstand rising challenges of climate change, including temperature fluctuations, drought, and heat stress. Some carry additional traits such as higher protein content, zinc enrichment, resistance to wheat blast, suitability for durum products, and improved chapati and bread quality.
