Latest Recommended High-Yielding Soybean Varieties for Bihar (2025)
06 July 2025, Patna: Bihar’s soybean cultivation is expanding, especially in the southern and western districts. Selecting high-yielding varieties suited to Bihar’s humid subtropical climate can reduce crop risks and boost productivity.
These varieties have been recommended by ICAR’s National Soybean Research Institute, Indore (Formerly Indian Institute of Soybean Research).

- Birsa Soya-4 (for Jharkhand border areas)
Farmers should aim for sowing during the active monsoon phase with sufficient soil moisture to ensure better seedling establishment.
