Namdhari Seeds Acquires US Agriseeds Open Field Vegetable Seed Business
10 February 2025, Bengaluru: Namdhari Seeds Private Limited has acquired the open field vegetable seed business of US Agriseeds from Axia Vegetable Seeds. This acquisition expands Namdhari Seeds’ operations and product portfolio. The acquisition includes a range of vegetable crops such as tomatoes, peppers, melons, watermelons, cucumbers, squash, and eggplant. Namdhari Seeds will enhance its presence in North America, South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. This acquisition does not include the US Agri Seeds brand in India (and Asia), which operates separately and is not part of this transaction.
“The acquisition of US Agriseeds is a step in Namdhari Seeds’ expansion into the global vegetable seeds market,” said Gurmukh Roopra, CEO of Namdhari’s Group. “By integrating US Agriseeds’ brand with our breeding and innovation expertise, we aim to deliver customized products to more farmers.” Catalyst Seeds, New World Seeds, and California Hybrids will now be part of Namdhari Seeds.
This acquisition aims to expand market reach by strengthening operations in key global regions, improve innovation by combining breeding expertise with US Agriseeds’ market knowledge, and support farmers by providing seeds to increase agricultural productivity.
