CultiWise’s “ScoutAI” Selected as Finalist for DLG Agrifuture Concept Winner 2025
13 October 2025, Brno: CultiWise’s autonomous crop monitoring system, ScoutAI, developed by the Czech agri-tech company Skymaps, has been named a finalist for the DLG Agrifuture Concept Winner Award 2025. The system will be presented at Agritechnica 2025 in Hanover from 9–15 November.
ScoutAI integrates satellite, drone, sprayer, and field sensor data to detect crop issues early and recommend precise field treatments. It consolidates previously independent tools into one automated system that monitors fields continuously and generates machine-ready prescriptions for farm equipment.
The system combines multiple data sources — daily satellite imagery, drone footage, sprayer-mounted cameras, and in-crop sensors — through the CultiWise cloud platform. When early signs of crop stress are detected, drones stationed in smart docking stations are automatically deployed to collect high-resolution imagery. In-field data from sprayers and sensors add environmental and operational context.
The platform processes the information to produce a consolidated field overview and targeted treatment maps. According to Kornel Cziria, Chief Technology Officer at Skymaps, this integration simplifies decision-making and allows farmers to act before issues spread.
ScoutAI is being developed by a team of 30 engineers. Around 15 sensor systems from 10 equipment brands are under testing. Several large-scale farms are participating in the pilot phase. Feedback from these pilots indicates that the system enables real-time understanding of field conditions from multiple perspectives.
ScoutAI’s machine learning models are trained on diverse crop and regional datasets, supporting adaptability for different farm sizes and production systems. The modular design allows integration with a range of hardware brands, avoiding dependence on specific manufacturers.
