Biosolutions Company Rovensa Next Appoints Victor Sonzogno as Head of Brazil
28 October 2025, Madrid: Rovensa Next, a company focused on biosolutions for sustainable agriculture has appointed Victor Sonzogno as the new Head of Brazil. He will report to Riccardo Vanelli, Chief Commercial Officer.
Sonzogno brings more than twenty years of experience in agribusiness, with leadership roles in biologicals and management consulting. His work includes operations management, business development, and post-acquisition integration across Brazil and Latin America.
Before joining Rovensa Next, he led Syngenta Biologicals in Brazil and Latin America for over a decade and served as Head of Valagro’s commercial and industrial operations in the region. Earlier, he founded and directed VEX Consultoriaand managed the International Division at Ambrosetti, advising European companies on market entry strategies in Brazil.
Commenting on his appointment, Sonzogno said, “Brazil is at an important stage in the adoption of biosolutions and product quality differentiation. Rovensa Next’s portfolio and its sales and technical teams in Brazil are well-positioned to deliver value to growers and partners while supporting agricultural innovation.”
Rovensa Next employs over 500 people in Brazil and operates two production facilities. The Campinas plant focuses on bionutrition, biofertilizers, and biostimulants, including microorganism-based products, and hosts an R&D and pilot formulation center. The Arapongas plant produces biocontrol products and orange oil-based adjuvants.
According to Riccardo Vanelli, Chief Commercial Officer of Rovensa Next, “Victor’s experience in the biologicals sector and knowledge of the Brazilian and Latin American markets will support our ongoing business strategy in the region.”
Sonzogno holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership from MIT/Columbia/Tuck, an Executive MBA in Financefrom IBMEC/INSPER, a Project Management certification (PMBOK) from Poli-USP, and a B.A. in Business Administration from FEA-USP (2003).
