Koppert Inaugurates World’s Largest Single-Site Mycorrhiza Production Facility in India

05 February 2026, Hyderabad: Responding to the rapidly growing demand for sustainable and biological farming solutions in India and global markets, Koppert Sustainable Solutions India Limited (KoSSIL) has inaugurated one of the world’s largest single-site production facilities dedicated exclusively to Mycorrhiza in Hyderabad, according to a press note issued by the company.

The facility was inaugurated by Aron Oosthoek, Managing Director of Reka BV Group, marking a significant milestone in India’s agri-biotech manufacturing landscape. The inauguration ceremony witnessed participation from delegates representing Europe and South America, along with senior leaders from leading Indian agrochemical and biological companies.

Addressing the gathering, Oosthoek described Mycorrhiza as a powerful example of nature-led innovation in agriculture. “Through KoSSIL, our joint venture with Agrilife, we aim to address global soil health challenges—starting with Mycorrhiza and progressively expanding into a comprehensive portfolio of microbial consortium products,” he said.

Highlighting the depth of indigenous research behind the facility, Dr. Venkatesh Devanur, Managing Director of Agrilife, stated that the production unit is the result of over a decade of continuous research and development carried out entirely in India. “From strain isolation and screening to large-scale commercial production, more than ten years of scientific effort have gone into building this capability domestically,” he noted.

The launch also coincides with the recently announced landmark EU-India Trade Agreement, often referred to as the ‘Mother of All Deals’. Designed to meet stringent European regulatory and quality benchmarks, the new facility reinforces India’s growing strength in agri-biotechnology manufacturing and positions KoSSIL as a reliable global supplier of high-quality biological inputs.

With this strategic investment, Koppert Sustainable Solutions India aims to serve both domestic and international markets, supporting the transition towards sustainable, soil-centric agricultural practices.
