Bayer Crop Science Canada Registers Huskie® PRE and Velocity® m3 Herbicides in Eastern Canada
31 October 2025, Canada: Bayer Crop Science Canada has announced the registration of Huskie® PRE and Velocity® m3 herbicides in Eastern Canada, expanding the company’s range of weed control options for cereal growers in the region.
According to Greg Good, Marketing Portfolio Lead for Crop Protection East at Bayer, the registration marks an important step in supporting cereal producers dealing with resistant and hard-to-control weeds. “Each of these herbicides adds new flexibility for growers to manage specific weed challenges in their fields,” Good said.
Broadleaf weeds are a leading cause of yield loss in cereal crops, and increasing cases of weed resistance—such as Canada fleabane—highlight the need for effective pre- and post-emergence solutions.
Huskie® PRE, containing Group 6 bromoxynil and Group 27 pyrasulfotole, can be used alongside Roundup® to deliver extended control over a wide range of broadleaf weeds.
Meanwhile, Velocity® m3 brings a three-mode-of-action formulation (Groups 27, 6, and 2), enabling control of over 30 broadleaf and grass weeds in cereal crops. The formulation is designed to reduce the need for multiple in-season applications and maintain yield potential through effective early-season weed management.Bayer Crop Science Canada has announced the registration of Huskie® PRE and Velocity® m3 herbicides in Eastern Canada, expanding the company’s range of weed control options for cereal growers in the region.
