Corteva Introduces Bexavie® Insecticide in India for Fall Armyworm Management in Corn

24 August 2025, New Delhi: Corteva Agriscience has introduced Bexavie® (Technical: Spinetoram 0.1% w/w RB) insecticide in India, the country’s first bait formulation product developed for the management of Fall Armyworm (FAW) in corn.

The product, formulated with Jemvelva™ (pronounced “jem-VEL-vuh”), is designed for targeted application in corn fields to control different larval stages of FAW. According to the company, the bait technology allows for precision use and extended control periods.

Fall Armyworm has been a major challenge in corn cultivation across India since its first detection in 2018. Various states have reported crop losses due to the pest, making integrated pest management an important focus area for growers.

The introduction of Bexavie marks the availability of a new insecticide format in the Indian market. The product is part of Corteva’s crop protection portfolio aimed at supporting corn growers in managing pest infestations effectively.
