U.S. EPA Approves Expanded Label for FMC’s Elevest® Insect Control

31 October 2025, US: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved an expanded label for FMC’s Elevest® insect control product, extending its authorized use to a wider range of specialty crops and introducing an additional method of application for row crops.

Under the revised label, Elevest can now be used in brassica, cucurbit and fruiting vegetables, as well as pome fruits, stone fruits, strawberries, and several tree nuts including pistachios, hazelnuts, and walnuts. This expansion enables specialty crop producers to manage a broader range of insects such as Lepidopteran pests, stink bugs, codling moth, peach twig borer, and navel orangeworm.

The label also allows a new in-furrow application method for row crops, providing flexibility for managing early-season soil pests like seedcorn maggot, wireworm, and cutworm. In addition, Elevest continues to offer foliar protection against major pests such as armyworms, corn rootworms, corn earworm, soybean looper, and stink bugs.

Elevest combines two active ingredients — Rynaxypyr® and bifenthrin — offering extended and broad-spectrum pest control. The dual-action formulation supports both preventive and responsive pest management strategies across diverse cropping systems.

According to FMC, the expanded label is intended to give growers more options to protect yield and quality while simplifying pest control programs for both specialty and row crops.
