UPL Raises Mancozeb Prices in China Again Amid Supply and Cost Pressures

29 September 2025, Beijing: UPL has implemented a further increase in the price of its mancozeb products in the Chinese market. According to the company’s recent communication, the revised prices for both mancozeb technical and its formulations took effect from September 23, 2025.

This marks the second price adjustment for UPL’s mancozeb in China within a short period, following a 5% increase announced on July 18, 2025. The company cited several factors behind the latest hike, including rising domestic and international demand, escalating costs of key raw materials, and supply constraints.

“With production costs climbing and market demand expanding, the availability of mancozeb has become limited, necessitating this price adjustment,” UPL noted in the letter. The move reflects broader trends in the agrochemical sector, where supply-demand imbalances and material cost fluctuations are increasingly influencing pricing strategies.
