Combatting Onion Leaf Diseases with Azoxystrobin 8.3% + Mancozeb 66.7% WG
Disease Management in Onion Crop in India
18 May 2025, New Delhi: To address recurring infections of Stemphylium blight, Purple blotch, and Downy mildew, onion growers can turn to the powerful mix of Azoxystrobin 8.3% + Mancozeb 66.7% WG. This combination blends the systemic action of Azoxystrobin with the contact activity of Mancozeb.
The product delivers 124.5 grams of Azoxystrobin and 1000 grams of Mancozeb per hectare, making a total formulation dose of 1500 grams per hectare. Dilution in 500 litres of water ensures even spray distribution across the onion canopy.
This fungicide requires a waiting period of 42 days before harvest, making it more suitable for applications earlier in the growing season. Timely intervention with this formulation results in visibly healthier plants and significantly reduced disease incidence.
