Managing Powdery Mildew with Meptyl Dinocap 35.7% EC in Mangoes

Crop Protection Advisory for Mango Farmers in India

18 May 2025, New Delhi: Meptyl Dinocap 35.7% EC is a powerful fungicide approved by the Central Insecticide Board, designed specifically to control powdery mildew in mango crops. The active ingredient dosage recommended is between 108-120 grams per hectare, while the formulation dosage ranges from 308.6 to 342.8 grams per hectare.

Dilution requires 1000 liters of water per hectare, and the waiting period after application is 7 days. This fungicide provides contact action and is particularly effective during early disease development.

Its ability to adhere to plant surfaces and work even under moderate rainfall conditions makes it highly suitable for tropical mango-growing regions. Regular use during flowering and fruit setting can prevent disease buildup and improve fruit quality.
