18 May 2025, New Delhi: Metiram 70% WG is another vital fungicide used to prevent and control anthracnose in mangoes. Approved by the Central Insecticide Board, it has become a key component in integrated pest management for commercial mango growers.
The application involves 87.5 grams of active ingredient with a formulation of 125 grams diluted in 1000 liters of water. A generous waiting period of 64 days is required before harvesting.
Metiram provides multi-site protective action and works effectively as a contact fungicide. Its prolonged residual activity ensures that fruits remain protected from post-harvest fungal attacks.
