20 January 2026, AU: The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is proudly hosting EPAC2026 – an international conference sponsored by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) – which will focus on precision application of crop protection products, and how these technologies can be integrated into regulatory frameworks.

Official program released

The conference program for Day 1 and Day 2 has been released.

On Day 1, EPAC2026 attendees will hear presentations from a range of speakers, including:

  • regulatory authorities from across the EU, UK, Canada and Australia
  • leaders in crop protection, research, engineering, and digital technology
  • growers pioneering precision application.

Day 2 will see attendees participate in a hands-on workshop, focusing on the following topics:

  1. Definitions, classifications and use patterns
  2. Building trust in the technology
  3. Risk assessment approaches and identifying/addressing regulatory gaps
  4. Label language and supporting precision application

The recommendations from the workshop will be provided to the OECD to help develop regulatory approaches to precision application of agricultural chemical products.
