Miller earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Florida Atlantic University in 2001 and began his career at U.S. Sugar in June 2002 as a Programmer/Analyst. Over the past 23 years, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including Data Center Manager, IT Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, Director of IT Applications, and most recently, Senior Director of IT Business Solutions.

Miller has been a leader on several U.S. Sugar technology projects, including the ongoing upgrade to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition with the RISE with SAP solution. Additionally, Miller has played a leading role in several other Company initiatives, including the deployment of U.S. Sugar’s industry-leading private, mesh WiFi network, which spans 200,000 acres of its South Florida farmland.

Since taking the helm as President & CEO in 2023, McDuffie has identified leveraging technology as an enabler in the Company’s efforts to be the low-cost producer of refined sugar in the United States. In 2024, the Company announced it is upgrading to the latest edition of SAP’s S/4Hana cloud-based solution, enhancing the company’s business efficiency, precision agriculture capabilities, and sustainability efforts.
