Big Boost for Farmers in Uttar Pradesh: Government Offers Massive Subsidy on Agri-Machinery—Apply Online by July 12
30 June 2025, New Delhi: In a major push to modernize agriculture and enhance farmers’ income, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is offering substantial subsidies on the purchase of agricultural machinery and drones. This initiative is part of a broader effort to make farming more efficient, cost-effective, and productive across the state.
Online Applications Open Until July 12
Interested farmers can apply online for the subsidy by visiting the official portal https://agridarshan.up.gov.in. The last date for submission is July 12, 2025. To apply, farmers must navigate to the “Kisan Corner” section and click on the “Yanthra Booking Prarambh (Equipment Booking Start)” link. The portal also provides detailed information on available equipment, subsidy eligibility criteria, and related conditions.
Subsidy Available on a Wide Range of Farm Machinery
The Department of Agriculture is extending subsidies under several schemes, including:
- Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM)
- Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue
- High-Tech Hubs for Custom Hiring
- Custom Hiring Centers and Farm Machinery Banks
Eligible equipment under these schemes includes:
Agricultural drones, combine harvesters with Super SMS, pneumatic planters, maize shellers, popping machines, batch dryers, threshing floors, mini warehouses, oil extraction units, sugarcane settling planters, power weeders, and more.
Modern Equipment to Reduce Costs and Increase Yields
According to officials from the Department of Agriculture, the key objective is to empower farmers with state-of-the-art tools that reduce manual labor, save time, and improve crop quality and yield. These advanced machines will help in lowering production costs and increasing profitability for farmers.
