Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty and Mr. S. Sankarasubramanian Appointed Co-Chairmen of Fertiliser Association of India
24 June 2025, New Delhi: In a significant development for the Indian fertiliser industry, Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), and Mr. S. Sankarasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO of Coromandel International Limited, have been unanimously elected as Co-chairmen of the Fertiliser Association of India (FAI).
The appointments were made during the recent Board of Directors meeting of the Association held on 19 June 2025. Both leaders bring decades of experience and strategic vision to the sector, and their joint leadership is expected to play a key role in shaping the future direction of India’s fertiliser policies and industry reforms.
Dr. Mohanty, known for his contributions to strengthening domestic fertiliser production capacities through HURL, and Mr. Sankarasubramanian, who has spearheaded several agri-innovations at Coromandel, will together guide FAI in addressing challenges related to nutrient management, sustainability, and the adoption of new technologies.
