Dr. Subhash Chand Appointed Secretary of CIB&RC, Ministry of Agriculture

24 August 2025, New Delhi: The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has announced key administrative changes in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.

As per the latest office order issued from Krishi Bhawan, Dr. Archana Sinha, Joint Director (Chemistry), Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage (DPPQ&S), has been transferred and posted in the Plant Protection (PP) Division on administrative grounds with immediate effect.

In her place, Dr. Subhash Chand, Joint Director (Chemistry), DPPQ&S, has been appointed as Secretary of the Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC). He will serve in this role until further orders.

The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority and circulated to senior officials across the Department, including the offices of the Secretary, Additional Secretary (Plant Protection), and Joint Secretary (Plant Protection), along with the Plant Protection Adviser.

The Central Insecticide Board & Registration Committee plays a critical role in regulating the import, manufacture, sale, and use of pesticides in India, ensuring their safety for farmers, consumers, and the environment.
