DJI Expands GEO System Update to Remaining International Markets Worldwide
18 November 2025, China: DJI today announced the expansion of its updated GEO system to all remaining international markets worldwide. This marks the next step in DJI’s ongoing effort to standardize its airspace guidance system and provide a consistent experience for drone operators across the globe.
Building on updates introduced in Europe in early 2024 and the United States in early 2025, the global rollout aligns with the regulatory principle of operator awareness and responsibility. As part of this update, all remaining No-Fly Zones will be reclassified as Enhanced Warning Zones, helping to standardize the flight experience and reduce confusion for pilots operating across different jurisdictions.
The phased rollout will begin on November 17, 2025 for DJI’s consumer and enterprise product lines, followed by agricultural drones through firmware releases starting in December 2025. The process will conclude with the retirement of the GEO Unlock Request service in early 2026.
DJI reminds all drone pilots to prioritize flight safety, comply with local laws and regulations, and obtain any required authorizations before flying. DJI’s FlySafe data continues to provide advisory information to enhance situational awareness, but it does not replace the official airspace data published by national aviation authorities.
