Engineering Excellence And Peak Performance Of New Cervus CVT Take STEYR® Power Further Than Ever Before
12 November 2025, Austria: STEYR Traktoren is entering a completely new tractor category with the all-new
Cervus CVT, previewed at Agritechnica 2025, giving the largest farm enterprises the perfect package of power, efficiency and technology they need to maximize productivity. The 360hp 6360 Cervus CVT, 390hp 6390 Cervus CVT and 435hp 6440 Cervus CVT (maximum power outputs) introduce a new flexible compact design from the St. Valentin plant in Austria, equally suited to ballasted heavy draft cultivations and to unballasted high payload tasks such as transport or front/rear hitch work.
Quieter and more comfortable with new technology to boost productivity
The new Cervus CVT models bear the striking new STEYR® styling, and feature new daytime running lights. The operator benefits from a cab that is one of the quietest in its class, while the comfort afforded by its semi-active suspension is complemented by a new independent suspended front axle. The result is maximum comfort that enhances in-field productivity, while smooth high-speed travel and haulage are assured on the road.
Three configurable Tech Packs allow customers to match their Cervus CVT to precision farming needs. Each includes integrated solutions such as ISOBUS compatibility and TIM (Tractor Implement Management) for plug-and-play touchscreen tractor-implement interaction, Easytronic II with GPS trigger to automate implement headland management, and S-Turn II for full headland steering and implement automation. All models feature Connectivity Included, for lifetime access to FieldOps™ for real-time farm management data, remote monitoring, and informed decision-making.
Greater performance to get more done in a day
Cervus CVT tractors are designed around a structural engine sump, for maximum tractor strength and minimal vibration. Powering the Cervus range is an 8.7-litre FPT Cursor 9 six-cylinder turbocharged and intercooled engine used for the first time in a STEYR tractor. Ownership costs are minimized thanks to specification ranging from long 750hr service intervals to a low idle feature that reduces engine speed when the tractor is stationary. A 680-litre diesel capacity cuts refueling downtime.
STEYR’s latest continuously-variable transmission development is a new 4×2 range CVT which, for the first time, has a maximum top travel speed of 60kph, to boost haulage efficiency, minimize travel time and get fieldwork underway faster. A new central tyre inflation system (CTIS) is the first integrated package available from STEYR. It enables tyres to be deflated to their minimum pressures for fieldwork, for a longer footprint that maximises traction and fuel economy while minimising compaction, before being reinflated within five minutes for full-speed road travel. The system features a twin-cylinder compressor incorporating idle management to minimise power consumption. Three pressure memory settings can be stored, and the compressor can also supply an external air-line for machine cleaning.
With a 12,400kg base weight, the new STEYR Cervus CVT models have an 18,000kg maximum permissible gross vehicle weight, enabling the handling of high payloads to do more in each journey. The new Cervus CVT has the implement handling ability to match its power and traction, with an 11,760kg rear linkage lift capacity and up to five double-acting high-flow remote valves plus optional Power Beyond supply. A dual hydraulic pump provides 360 l/min of oil flow. Up front, an optional 5,800kg electronic front hitch features pressure control that is adjustable via the Multicontroller armrest, to provide even consolidation with implements such as front packers. It can be supplemented by two double-acting spool valves and a 1,000/1,000E rpm PTO option.
