High Horsepower, High-Tech, New Ecosystem: CNH Showcases Modern Ag Machinery in Harbin

28 October 2025, Thailand: CNH, a global leader in agricultural machinery, successfully hosted a Field Day in Harbin, showcasing its latest technological innovations designed to accelerate the modernization of Chinese agriculture.

Innovation on Display: Power and Performance Proved

This “Field Day” combined static displays with live demonstrations, featuring 14 core products tailored for the Chinese market. The showcased lineup spanned various product series, from high-horsepower tractors to combine harvesters and sprayers. The Case IH Magnum 4004, Optum 3304, and Puma 2704 tractors, alongside the New Holland CR8.90 combine harvester, performed dynamic operational demonstrations, allowing participants to witness and experience their superior performance and intelligent design firsthand.

Several new products were launched at the event, with the high-horsepower tractors from the Case IH brand garnering significant attention:

• Steiger 5304: As the current largest full powershift tractor in the Chinese market, the Steiger 5304 is purpose-built for high-intensity, heavy-load fieldwork. It is powered by an FPT Cursor 13-liter engine, boasting a rated power of up to 530 horsepower and a peak torque of 2459 Nm. Paired with its unique 40% torque reserve, it ensures a continuous and stable power output, even in demanding operations like deep tillage and heavy harrowing. Furthermore, its three-point oscillating articulation structure and heavy-duty chassis design significantly enhance towing stability and turning agility, making it easily adaptable to large, complex implements.
• Quadtrac 5302: The Quadtrac 5302 builds on the proven performance of the Steiger series, adding its unique four-track design to deliver exceptional traction and stability. The machine’s weight is evenly distributed, minimizing soil compaction to the greatest extent and effectively protecting valuable black soil resources. Its strong grip allows it to operate confidently in soft or wet fields, proving that high efficiency and soil protection can go hand-in-hand. Reduced slippage also contributes to lower fuel consumption, translating into real savings for operators.
• Magnum 4004: As a key workhorse for large farms, its robust FPT engine and efficient power system effortlessly handle large-scale tillage and seedbed preparation. The Magnum 4004’s outstanding power performance and reliability ensure users achieve high efficiency and high returns in every heavy-duty operation.
• Optum 3304: Equipped with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the Optum 3304 stands out for its versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of agricultural applications – from ploughing, harrowing, seedbed preparation to planting and fertilizing. It can also be paired with various hay and forage equipment to support fully mechanized operations such as mowing, baling, and transport. Designed to perform across the country’s major agricultural regions, the Optum 3304 maintains strong performance and fuel efficiency, even when the load changes significantly.
• Puma 2704: The Puma 2704 marks a significant extension of the range of our most successful tractor family in China. With its advanced CVT transmission and optimized vehicle layout, it is engineered to be the most versatile product in the below 300hp segment. Its outstanding versatility and fuel economy allow it to efficiently complete intensive fieldwork, while its flexible design is also ideal for daily farm transport and management, making it a truly multi-purpose machine that saves farmers on additional equipment investment.

The New Holland brand unveiled the new CR8.90 combine harvester, delivering intelligent automation and high productivity, redefining harvesting performance.

Through the New Holland IntelliSense™ system, the combine achieves autonomous thinking and reaction, continuously and automatically optimizing the threshing, separation, and cleaning functions. This ensures users receive the best harvest quality, lowest fuel consumption, and minimal crop loss. It adopts Twin Rotor™ technology for high throughput, more thorough threshing, and gentler grain handling, thereby reducing grain damage and adapting to multiple crops. The intelligent cleaning system automatically adjusts based on different crop characteristics and field conditions, ensuring grain cleanliness meets the highest standards and maintaining the superior quality of every kernel, guaranteeing every grain is securely harvested.

Other products on display include Magnum 4002, Puma 2404, Axial Flow 4099, Axial Flow 7160, Patriot 3250 from Case IH; and T1504, T2004 from New Holland, with their productivity and efficiency well recognized by Chinese farmers.

CNH FieldOps China: Smart Management

A cornerstone of the event was the launch of the CNH FieldOps China. This digital solution leverages IoT to create an all-domain smart ecosystem, enabling seamless connections for customers across fleet management, farm operations, and efficient service support.

The platform delivers tangible benefits for farmers:

• Intelligent Fleet Management: Monitor machine location and status instantly using high-precision BeiDou positioning. Deep data analysis provides insights into operational efficiency and suggests optimizations for precision farming management.
• Smart Farm Operations and Resource Planning: Use high-definition satellite maps to easily draw farm boundaries and plan work routes. This digital data guides machinery’s autonomous systems for precise execution. The system also generates custom prescription maps (e.g., for fertilization) and yield maps, giving you the scientific data needed to maximize your harvest and efficiency.
• Proactive Service and Maximized Uptime: manage the full vehicle lifecycle, from purchase to maintenance. It uses health monitoring to proactively alert customers to potential faults or service needs, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal vehicle performance.
